Ordered my sofas on June 8th, expected delivery date August 8th, it is now September 2nd and I have not received a single email or phone call to advise me of anything whatsoever. When you try to ring local branch it will take on average 20 attempts to get through, spoken to all 3 employees on different weeks and each time story is the same: “no clue why it is delayed, we will email the supplier and get back to you”. So far, a one star experience at best, perhaps if my sofas miraculously appear in the next week in new state and correct colours (which judging by other reviews isn’t guaranteed), I’d be inclined to change this to 3 stars at best. *UPDATE* Turns out sofa was never properly ordered due to system issues which I only found out by physically popping in, at no point during any of the phone calls was this explained. After complaining the manager suggested he would try and sort out a loaner as my new ETA is end of October. It is now 3 weeks since that conversation and no loaner nor any other communication. *UPDATE* 5 months after the order date we received half our order end of October, this meant that we have been sitting on the floor for nearly 3 months. We only received half the order as the 2 seater was damaged in storage, this meant a further 5 months of waiting for the 2 seater to arrive today (12th March), or so it should have had it not been that the delivery company is refusing delivery due to them not being able to reach the store and neither can I as per usual! It is unbelievable on how many different levels SCS, and particularly this Huddersfield store manages to make me regret my decision with every day that passes, now nearly a year in.Posted on Louise RoseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Should be a zero star!! Mid August we ordered a three seater and a chair from ScS Huddersfield from a kind, warm hearted gentleman. The sale went through like a breeze giving an estimated 10/12 week delivery to our address. Here’s the first email: Your ScS Furniture is due into to our distribution centre soon and we have scheduled your delivery for31/10/2025. Please call our team urgently if you cannot be at the property on this date on 0————- and select opt 1 at least 72hrs before to avoid your furniture being loaded. Okay so now we were getting giddy. Here’s the second: Unfortunately we have had a delay with your order, we have had to cancel the delivery you had planned. We have not been able to supply a new delivery date for you yet, but we will notify you as soon as we do. Disappointing as we had sold our old corner suite. Here’s a week later: Your ScS furniture is due to be delivered on06/11/2025. Our deliveries start from 7am so we'll text you the night before to let you know what delivery slot you've been allocated, our crew will also contact you on the day with more detailed timings and a link will be provided for you to track the crew. Not as giddy!! Here’s the next and we thought it’s looking good; Hi, Our crew, NWT and should be with you between 15:40 and 16:10. ScS Distribution Team This has to be it, I will use a second days holiday. Waiting and waiting and yep waiting…… 10pm still looking out of the window like a sad pet that’s missed their walk, nothing! No message to say we’ve run out of time or anything. The frustration has gone from level five to one hundred. I’ll sleep on it and hopefully I will receive some good news. The morning after….. yep you guessed it, nothing! My wife kept ringing ScS and all she got was an answer machine…. We have nowhere to sit god damn it and it’s been two failed attempts 🤬 Then I get an invoice email to say it’s been delivered successfully without signatures 🤣 are you taking the 💦 so I decide to drive down to the Huddersfield ScS to rant my anger. I was met by the manager who quickly tried to resolve this headache but couldn’t give me an answer until dispatch rang her back to see if they could find our Sofa so I had no choice but to go back home until she rang. She did ring to tell me they had made a boo-boo and the furniture was still there 🤣 The best we can do is the 14/11/2025, that’s another week to wait 😡 I mentioned a good will gesture so let’s see if that materialises, I doubt it will. We’ve spent £1700 of our hard earned cash on a company that should’ve been a cut above the rest but has certainly given myself and family reservations for future purchases. I’m not saying they are a company to avoid as not all customers have had this issue but the lack of communication and happy customer service is extremely poor to say the least. We have zero trust that a delivery will happen next Friday as the trust has disappeared completely. I’m extremely disappointed and regret using this company but that’s just me. If it doesn’t come next week we want a full refund and I will update this post. Update: The furniture finally came and the chair was soaked down one side and covered in mud. The delivery guys took a photo as it was a mess. We said to leave the chair and a replacement will come in the coming weeks. Four weeks later they sent a cleaning company out to sort the chair out but he said it looks fine to him. Case closed as far as they are concerned. I've sent multiple emails and never got a response! This company doesn't have a clue what customer service is!!! A one star review is too high for this so called furniture chain. If you are looking to purchase furniture, DO NOT GO TO SCS! From the day following my purchase the issues started. First it was the fact the the sales staff had somehow ordered my sofa, chair, and buffet in different colours. This was eventually remedied, after being told there may be a charge for amending my order, which was their fault for getting wrong. The delivery date finally arrived only to find that the cushions along with essential parts of the furniture were missing, (legs, recliner power packs, and power leads). After 10 weeks of attempting to contact ScS help centre (in excess of 20 occasions) and repepated repromises that the order would be fulfilled. Three additional deliveries later and after supplying incorrect legs, the order was still not successfully fulfilled. I requested they collect the furniture and requested a full refund.
